Lewis A. Gooding, 56 years old, died at his home 4 mi. SW of Wallace yesterday of Bright's disease, following a long illness. He was born and raised in the community and had been ill for many months. He was born Nov 19, 1866 son of Thomas & Phoebe Sowers Gooding. He was married to Dora Summer. Survivors are his wife, 2 sisters, Mrs. Maria Newkirk of Wallace and Mrs. Mary Alward of Grange Corner and four brothers, Isaac, Noah & Monroe of Wallace and Paul of Danville, Il. Funeral services will be held at Wolf Creek Friday afternoon 1:00 o'clock in charge of Rev. Cornelius Airhart of Crawfordsville with internment there. - kbz
